sun-dried fish are a delicacy in some parts of Thailand

The type of visa you need will depend on how long you study, and your pre- and post-study plans.

1. Enter Thailand to do a course of less than 30 days, then leave

Most nationalities are entitled to a 30-day on-entry Tourist Visa. If you need to stay a little longer, you can extend the visa for a further 10 days at any Immigration Office in Phuket.

2. Entering Thailand to study and take a holiday before or after (less than 60 days)

a) Apply for a 60-day Tourist Visa from the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country. This can normally be handled by post within a few days and is not expensive. You will not need any documentation from us to support an application for such a visa.

b) Enter Thailand and receive a 30-day on-entry Tourist Visa. Before it expires, make a day-trip to a border crossing to leave and re-enter. This gives you a further 30 days free of charge. The day trip will cost less than £20 (US$40).

3. Entering to study for 90 days or longer

You need to apply to a Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country for a Non-immigrant Type ‘ED’ visa valid for 90 days. We can supply a letter and copies of our school licences to support this application.

Once you arrive in Phuket, we can then arrange for this to be extended for up to 1 year without you leaving Thailand.

Regulations change frequently, so we recommend you contact us for further details.
