We would like to offer a warm welcome to Kristin, Jason and Ben who began the two week Thai Foundation course today at Patong Language School.
They began their studies at 10am this morning – by then it was already getting hot in Patong so after flicking on the fan and the aircon, their teacher, Khruu Nim, got straight into the lesson. In the first 50 minutes they learnt about the different tones, common verbs and how to make positive statements. Then it was downstairs to Bean and Gone Coffee Shop for a break and a much needed caffeine boost!
They will be studying for five days over two weeks and can then move on to the Easy Going Thai course if they choose to continue with their studies. Kristin, who will be continuing on to the Easy Going course after this, said she was nervous about class today since it has been so long since she last studied – but by the time the first lesson was finished, she was already enjoying herself and excited about learning more Thai.
