After a week or so of torrential rain, it’s now a beautiful, sunny Friday here in Phuket and it’s shaping up to be a great weekend.
If you’re wondering what to do this weekend, tomorrow (Saturday 31 August) there will be a B-Boy, Cover Dance and Street Dance competition at Jungceylon in Patong. The winners will go on to represent the southern region at the finals in Bangkok next month, so check it out.
On Sunday is the “Red Turtle Parade” for the Por Tor (Hungry Ghost) Festival 2012 in Phuket Town. Take a look at the Patong Language School Facebook page for the parade route.
If you’re planning on sticking around Patong this weekend, don’t forget that there will be an alcohol ban in place from 6pm on Saturday through Sunday for the mayoral election so all bars will be closed and shops won’t be selling alcohol. This ban only affects Patong.
Whatever your plans are, have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
We look forward to meeting all the new students for our Intensive and Easy Going Thai courses starting on Monday!
