Well, it’s almost that time of year again. Songkran is just around the corner and PLS would like to wish everyone a very happy Thai New Year.
We will be closed for one week, from 7-14 April, with classes starting again on Monday 15 April.
Songkran is without a doubt the most fun holiday on the Thai calendar and it is celebrated across the whole country. You can read more about the history of Songkran on the Tourism Thailand website but these days it’s basically a day (or 7 days if you’re in Chiang Mai) of water throwing and festivities. If you’re lucky enough to be in Phuket during Songkran, make sure you get yourself a water gun and hit the streets on 13 April.
The fun will start in Patong next Friday evening (12 April), so be prepared to get wet and don’t carry anything that could be damaged by the water.
Have fun everyone and be safe this Songkran!
