November has arrived and with it comes the start of the high season here in Phuket.
Phuket is a popular destination year round but from November to March it’s cooler and less humid than other months. It still rains sometimes but you can generally expect plenty of sunshine.
The water is calm at Patong Beach now that the monsoon season is behind us, which is great news for all the swimmers out there! Just remember to always check the flags before you get in the water: red means no swimming, yellow warns of dangerous conditions, red and yellow indicates the safest swimming area which is patrolled by lifeguards.
If you’re planning a visit to Phuket over the next few months, drop by the school to ask about our Thai Foundation course while you’re here. This 2-week course covers the basics and will have you speaking Thai from day one. If you want to stay on the island even longer, we can even help you get an ED visa if you study with us for 12 weeks or more – just ask us for more information.
