Phuket’s biggest temple fair, the annual Wat Chalong Fair, begins this Thursday 30 January and will run until Wednesday 5 February. Entry is free and there will be plenty of entertainment, food and activities on offer.
Make sure you’re there by 7pm each night when the entertainment begins, with concerts by Thai bands and shadow puppet performances. Shoppers won’t be disappointed – there are expected to be 600-700 different stalls with everything from balloon dart games and other funfair activities to clothes and handicrafts.
Wat Chalong is the largest Buddhist temple in Phuket and a popular stop off point for sightseers and visitors to Phuket. If you’ve never been before, this is a great chance to visit an iconic Phuket site and enjoy another one of Phuket’s famous funfairs!
