What part of Thailand are you from?
I am from Chiang Mai which is in the northern region.
How long have you lived in Phuket?
4 years.
Why did you decide to teach Thai?
Because I love teaching and seeing my students’ progress. It also gives me the opportunity to speak English with my students every day.
How would you describe your teaching style?
My teaching style is friendly and flexible. I want to teach my students Thai language that they can use daily and phrases that Thais use, so they can understand every-day Thai and have conversations with Thai people.
What is the best thing about being a Thai language teacher?
For me, the best thing about being a Thai teacher is the exchange of culture and traditions. Through teaching Thai to foreigners, I can teach them about Thai culture and traditions and they can explain how my culture is different from theirs.
What do you like to do on your holidays and days off?
If the weather is nice, I will go out to take some photos. If the weather isn’t good, I like to stay home and watch movies.
What is the best thing about living in Phuket?
Living close to beautiful beaches and making new friends. There are so many great places to go and take photos in Phuket.
