Having the right teacher makes all the difference to your learning experience, which is why we’re pretty fussy about who we select to join our team – we want you to love learning with PLS! Today Khruu Coco, one of our Thai teachers, shared a bit about herself and her suggestions for anyone visiting Phuket:
What part of Thailand are you from?
I am from Trang, in southern Thailand.
How long have you lived in Phuket?
I’ve lived in Phuket for 8 years.
Why did you decide to teach Thai?
Because I love teaching and I also wanted to improve my English.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I don’t really have just one style – I try to change my teaching style to suit the student.
What is the best thing about being a Thai language teacher?
I enjoy the challenge. Helping my students to be successful is very rewarding.
What do you like to do on your holidays and days off?
When I have time off work I like to take trips around Phuket with my family.
What is the best thing about living in Phuket?
The weather is nice (especially this time of year) and there is no pollution in Phuket, like in Bangkok.
